Recollection Spirits is a family-run distillery. Our spirits are inspired by the places we’ve lived, travelled through and kept coming back to.
Our Story
We’re Inna and Igor, the two people behind Recollection Spirits.
We’re both originally from Ukraine, but we met in New Zealand and later made Australia home. We had no background in hospitality or spirits when we started, just a long-standing love of travel, good drinks and places that leave a lasting impression.
Recollection Spirits came together over time. For years, it was something we spoke about in passing. Slowly, it became something we wanted to make real.
Where our spirits begin
Every spirit we make starts with a place, a flavour or a memory we want to return to.
Sometimes that means drawing on a landscape or a feeling, like the crisp air and changing weather behind Hiker’s Hut Apple and Honey Gin. Sometimes it means something more personal and cultural, like our Sour Cherry Nalyvka, inspired by traditional fruit liqueurs made in Ukraine.
We’re not interested in making products just for the sake of filling out a range. Each release has a reason to exist. It connects to something real. If it doesn’t, we don’t make it.
