Growing up in Ukraine, nalyvka was simply part of life. Almost every family had someone making it, a grandparent in the cellar, an aunt in the pantry - jars of fruit quietly steeping away through summer. For us, it’s a familiar sight tied to long days, stained fingers from sour cherries and the hum of family gatherings.
